Why Burlap & Barrel?

  • Single origin spices sourced directly from small farms
  • Over 10,000 5-star reviews

Our wood-roasted Robusta coffee, shade-grown by our partner peppercorn farmers in Vietnam, is a stellar example of this coffee varietal, which is rarely found in the US. Smoky, nutty, smooth and very flavorful, our Robusta is wood-roasted by Mighty Oak Roasters, New York's only wood-fired coffee roastery.

The coffee grows in the shade of peppercorn vines, which climb old-growth trees to provide natural shade for the coffee plants. This interplanting fosters a balanced ecosystem, resilient plants and robustly flavored coffee and spices.

ABOUT MIGHTY OAK

Mighty Oak is New York's only wood-fired coffee roastery, one of just a few in the U.S.

Local wood is their only fuel: sourced exclusively from felled trees, largely from storm damage, ensuring a roasting process that is both sustainable and distinct.
