"Born from a blending of several cultures, the flavors in this seasoning come from the sweet pepper-based blends of New Orleans Creole cooking, where they are paired with holy trinity (celery, bell pepper, onion), used similarly to mirepoix in French cooking. Use as a flavor base for soups and stews, fried chicken or fish marinades." -Omar & CybilleIngredients:

"Nostalgia: the warm, inviting smells of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves take us back to our mothers', aunts and grandmothers' couches, and scarfing down dinner to get to a piece of pie. It reminds us of celebrations of life and the protective care of our ancestors. We love it on roasted squash, in savory soups and for beef neck and oxtail." -Omar & CybilleIngredients:

"This dynamic blend evokes kanaval/camival in the Caribbean islands, a sense of home to Ghanians when they drink bissap, and Red Drink in Texas-rooted Juneteenth celebrations. Hibiscus is the connection for every child of the African diaspora. Serve the drink hot or cold, with white rum or on its own." -Omar & CybilleIngredients:
